What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are tiny titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. Just like the root of a natural tooth, the implant bonds with the jawbone, creating a strong, sturdy foundation for replacement teeth.
Once the post is placed, the crown (visible tooth) can be attached to the implant, recreating the natural structure and functionality of the original tooth.

Over time, when a tooth is missing, the jaw bone around the area deteriorates. So while a denture or bridge may seem to function similarly to a tooth, underneath the surface damage is being done to the jaw bone and ultimately to the structure of the patient's face. A true believer that patients come first, Dr. Barry teaches advanced emergency protocols to the staff to provide a safe atmosphere for every patient.Dr. Barry practices a wide scope of oral and maxillofacial procedures including wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, oral pathology and facial trauma. He is caring and compassionate.When Dr. Barry is not busy with his boys, he enjoys playing golf, swimming, dancing and traveling with his family.
